Health & Safety Specialist - with an interest in quality

 

Do you want to play a key role in ensuring safe, high-quality operations in a global supply chain organization?

At HAVI Denmark, we are looking for a proactive and structured HS Specialist to strengthen our work within Safety and Compliance, and to help drive our continuous improvement journey. In this role, you will contribute to both operational excellence and long-term sustainability, while supporting a strong “Safety First” culture across the organization.

 

Your Role

 

As HS Specialist, you are responsible for coordinating and supporting the effectiveness of Safety systems and activities in HAVI Denmark. You will work closely with operations, management, and Nordic/global stakeholders, ensuring that requirements are translated into practical solutions and embedded in daily operations. In addition, you will contribute to quality-related work, supporting key processes and initiatives, although this will be a smaller part of your overall role

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Safety & Compliance:

  • Implementation of new H&S requirements and ensure compliance with food safety, transport, and safety regulations
  • Maintain and develop quality management systems and HS procedures
  • Act as a contact point during visits from authorities

Audits, Risk & Continuous Improvement:

  • Plan, conduct, and support internal/external audits and self-inspections
  • Perform risk assessments and support mitigation activities
  • Drive non-conformance handling, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Support certification processes and ensure audit readiness
  • Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects

Working Environment & Safety Culture:

  • Support and develop HAVI’s “Safety First” culture
  • Act as a key partner to the Working Environment Organization (AMO) and facilitate the annual working environment review, support APV, and risk analysis activities
  • Drive development of near-miss reporting and safety awareness and ensure proper follow-up on incidents and workplace accidents

Training & Capability Development:

  • Coordinate and deliver training in safety and compliance
  • Own and develop the annual safety training program
  • Build awareness and capability across the organization

 

Your Profile

 

You combine strong professional expertise with a hands-on and collaborative mindset. You bring experience within HS, ideally from logistics/supply chain and have a solid understanding of relevant standards, audits and frameworks. You are structured and analytical with a keen eye for detail, and you have a strong ability to translate requirements into practical, operational solutions. Also, you are a strong communicator in both Danish and English. You naturally engage with colleagues at all levels and can support and train others, helping to build awareness and capability across the organization.
