Solution Owner R2R & MDM
This is a full-time role located in Krakow, with flexibility for remote work as needed.
As a Solution Owner R2R (Record to report) & MDM (Master data management), you will be responsible for day-to-day leadership of a global team comprising of 5-10 internal employees and external partners. The team has roles like Senior Solution Analysts & Solution Analysts who manage the solution concept and end-to-end lifecycle.
This role involves managing and optimizing the end-to-end technology solutions for accounting & financial reporting processes within all HAVI entities globally. This position is responsible for ensuring that the R2R and MDM solutions are efficient, accurate, and compliant with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy
- Working with senior leaders & executives within Technology, Finance, Supply Chain Operation & their teams to develop, maintain and execute agreed solution/product strategies & roadmaps
- Effectively partnering with Finance and Supply Chain Operations user groups to define the solution capabilities
- Developing strategy to streamline and automate financial accounting workflows
- Aligning with other Solution Owners to understand interdependencies between solutions and support a consolidated ERP Roadmap
- Execution Leadership
- Effectively managing relevant solution/product life cycle.
- Providing leadership and oversight for delivery, solution/product management, project management, release management, transition to operations, solution/product change management in collaboration with other solution owners.
- Effectively managing demand backlog and proactively planning resources.
- Partnering with Application Support Owner(s) in establishing and enabling effective application support.
- Ensuring effective solution adoption on cluster/market levels and user experience
- Supporting Data & Analytics organizations to deliver BI solutions.
- Adopting innovations once incubation and prototyping phases are successfully passed.
- Establishing and managing appropriate metrics including tracking, reporting and continuous improvements
- Collaborating with vendors to ensure the best value creation.
- Feeding into Business Processes & Data Governance frameworks which can drive continuous improvements.
- Ensuring proper portfolio management, governance and making sure key project/product deliverables requirements are met.
- Enabling timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Coordinating with stakeholders to meet reporting deadlines.
- Staying up to date with accounting standards and financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and ensure R2R processes remain compliant.
- Managing internal and external audits, addressing audit findings and recommendations
- Providing IT oversight to the reconciliation of financial accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Providing IT leadership support to the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Providing IT leadership support to the financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
- Solution Architecture
- Providing effective leadership to define and implement solution/application architecture in the R2R and Master Data Management domain – caretaker of the solution architecture.
- Ensuring that the solution landscape is optimized with standardization.
- Working with the Head of Enterprise Architecture to ensure that product strategies are integrated across the product teams and aligned with the agreed Enterprise Architecture, both within and outside Logistics
- Working with Information Security to ensure that the solution meets company and BU security policies and standards, ensuring IT controls are embeded into solutions and products.
- Working with Infrastructure Architects to ensure that infrastructure is optimized for performance and cost.
- Financial
- Effectively managing solution/product financials, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), working with IT Controlling to budget, forecast, and deliver the desired P&L results.
- Effectively managing financials to ensure the business case results are delivered.
- Defining and implementing cost control measures.
- Ensuring that the cloud and infrastructure is optimally used – ensure proper tracking, visibility, and controls.
- Effectively using software licenses – track, report, and manage for cost and compliance.
- Organization and Talent
- Managing and developing people and growing future leaders
- Identifying and resolving gaps in skills and resources
- Managing demand, resources, and capacity
- Senior-level Stakeholder Management
- Effectively managing executive and stakeholder expectations and speaking business language.
- Leading & Participating in Project Boards as required to steer solution delivery.
- Leading & Participating in Joint Review Boards with strategic partners.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT product & service delivery
- Strong product management, project management, and technology delivery experience
- Experience with industry-standard ERP solutions such as SAP, Workflow solutions such as OpenText/VIM, Financial Performance Management Solution like Hyperion & Essbase, and EDI solutions
- Strong experience in developing and managing Talent
- Experience of managing organizational change and technology transformation within IT functions
- 5+ years of strong experience in strategy development and execution of technology roadmap in the areas of R2R, and Master Data Management solutions
- Experience in leading teams using appropriate delivery methodologies and tools such as Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps etc.
