Master Data Steward

 

The Master Data Steward is responsible for the continuous development and application of the data governance framework to ensure HAVI Supply Chain Data and Processes are accessible, discoverable, usable, trustworthy, and secure. Additionally, the Master Data Steward collaborates closely with the data platform team and supports end-to-end integration with customer environment from a content perspective.

Working with global functional experts and client’s digital counterparts, the Master Data Steward will support the global functional teams in the practical application of the Data Governance Framework on a day-to-day basis.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Focuses on all data domains rather than on one specific data domain
  • Collaborates with global business experts to collect, understand and reflect the functional data needs in the data management practice and to ensure that operations and processes are set up according to agreed governance framework and objectives
  • Acts as a Data champion and Go-To person in driving awareness within the organization
  • Recommends and implements continuous data and process improvements
  • Verifies application of governance rules for master data
  • Ensures compliance and applicability of data in the associated business processes
  • Provides guidance and support to data users within the organization. Conducts training sessions to educate users on data governance policies, data quality best practices, and data management tools.
  • Acts as a point of contact for data-related queries, helping users understand data definitions, structures, and usage guidelines.
  • Oversees the lifecycle of data from its creation or acquisition to its retirement. Defines data retention and archiving policies, ensuring that data is stored and managed in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors master data consistency and associated data objects to the operational service delivery units ( for O2C, P2P, Transportation- and Warehouse Management, Restaurant Planning and Analytics)
  • Contributes to strategic initiatives, both HAVI and McDonald’s, as a data SME

 

Requirements

 

  • Work experience in Supply Chain Management with focus on Data and Process Management or a comparable variant applied in business practice for at least 4 years
  • Proven knowledge of Master data management and stakeholder management
  • Experience in development and application of data governance framework
  • Proven knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI Desktop)
  • University degree in Data/Business/Supply Chain or equivalent experience will be a strong asset
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English are a must (min. B2 level)
  • Ability to work as a team member including inter-departmental teams for specific projects as well as work independently on assigned tasks
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to details
  • Ability to educate business communities to Data management/governance best practices
  • Ability to work under time pressure with a high service orientation
  • Thorough understanding of data architectures and common data standards like GS1
  • Experienced in master Data and Process management related harmonization and transformation initiatives as contributor
