About the role
As a Finance Specialist, VAT Accounting, you will support VAT compliance and reporting activities while working closely with accounting, tax and business teams. This position offers an opportunity to develop practical tax and accounting knowledge in an international environment.
- Support VAT compliance activities in accordance with Polish tax regulations.
- Verify accounting and tax documents related to VAT, CIT settlements.
- Prepare and review VAT registers,
- Participation in the process of VAT returns, JPK files and EC Listings (VAT-UE) preparation.
- Perform VAT account reconciliations and support month-end activities.
- Cooperate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Support communication with tax authorities and auditors.
- Proactively suggests improvement ideas to drive continuous improvement
- Performs other tasks indicated by the supervisor
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Polish VAT regulations and their practical application.
- Experience with VAT returns, VAT registers and account reconciliations would be an advantage.
- Good Excel skills.
- Experience working with SAP or another ERP system would be beneficial.
- English at minimum B2 level.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Tax is an asset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and cooperation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and across functions.
