The Manager, Event Forecasting leads the day-to-day operations of the Canadian event forecasting team, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent delivery of national and regional promotional forecasts. This role provides value-added forecasting and planning services to the customer, their restaurants, distribution centers, and suppliers within the Canadian market.

 

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Event Forecasting, this role is accountable for executing the One Forecast process in Canada and contributing to its continuous improvement. The Manager works hands-on with the team to ensure forecast accuracy, manage stakeholder communications, and resolve operational issues as they arise. This role requires strong attention to detail, a bias for action, and the ability to balance daily execution with process refinement.

 

This is a hybrid role based at 703-1 Concorde Gate North York, ON, M3C 3N6, Canada. Candidates must reside in the Toronto metropolitan area. Relocation assistance is not offered at this time.

 

Responsibitlies:

 

Operational Execution & Forecast Delivery

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of the event forecasting process for the Canadian market, ensuring all promotional forecasts are created, communicated, and implemented accurately and on time.
  • Execute the One Forecast process in Canada, ensuring alignment with established methodologies and contributing feedback for process improvement.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and actual performance against sales, identifying variances and taking corrective action to minimize errors.
  • Ensure smooth process handoffs and coordination with distribution centers, suppliers, and customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain accountability for meeting or exceeding all service level agreements and performance targets for the Canadian market.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly manage and develop a team of Analysts and Sr Analysts, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management.
  • Allocate work and manage team capacity to meet forecast deadlines and quality standards.
  • Build a positive, collaborative team environment that encourages ownership, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Identify training needs and development opportunities for team members.
  • Support hiring efforts to maintain optimal team composition and capability.

 

Process Improvement & Cross-Market Collaboration

  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, efficiency, and ways of working within the Canadian team.
  • Collaborate with the US event forecasting team to share best practices, align methodologies, and support cross-market initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional root cause analyses and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide input to the Sr Manager on process enhancements and strategic initiatives based on operational experience.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with the Analytics & Insights team to leverage data for forecast validation and performance analysis.
  • Coordinate with the Product Development team on forecasting for new product introductions and limited-time offers in Canada.
  • Work with the Supply Planning team to ensure alignment between event forecasts and supply chain execution.
  • Partner with the US event forecasting team on shared processes and cross-market promotions.

 

External Partnerships:

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for Canadian customer stakeholders on event forecasting matters.
  • Manage operational interactions with Business Intelligence, Marketing, and new products teams to ensure timely inputs and deliverables.
  • Communicate forecast updates, variances, and issue resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Escalate complex stakeholder issues or strategic concerns to the Sr Manager as appropriate.

 

Systems & Subject Matter Expertise

  • Maintain proficiency in HAVI forecasting and reporting systems (Horizon, ROP, EAS, Connect, etc.) to support daily operations and inform decision-making.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Canadian event forecasting processes and systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within forecasting systems.
  • Support system enhancements and testing as needed.

 

Qualifications: 

  • University Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Operations, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, with a focus on planning, forecasting, or analytics
  • Prior leadership experience in managing both individual contributors and leaders of teams is required.
  • Experience leading cross-regional or multi-market teams preferred.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
  • Strong understanding of the inter-relationships between forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, analytics, and their impact on suppliers and QSR client operations.
  • Ability to understand and navigate the food service or fast-moving consumer goods industry landscape.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), with a focus on data analysis and presentation.

 

****Starting Salary is $110,000-$120,000 with a 10% targeted bonus
