We are hiring a  Senior Data Base Engineer 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Data Base Engineer to join our TechHUB in Lisbon!

The Senior Database Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise database platforms to ensure high availability, performance, security, and recoverability.

The role combines deep technical expertise with proactive engineering practices to prevent incidents, optimize database performance, and support business-critical services across cloud and on-prem environments.

The Senior Database Engineer collaborates closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, Application Development, and Security to ensure that the data layer is resilient, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

THE SKILLS

To set you up for success in this role, here are some key skills that will help you:

• 6+ years of experience in database engineering or DBA roles
• Experience managing production database environments at scale
• Proven experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
• Experience working in enterprise-scale IT environments
