We are hiring a  Data Base Lead 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Data Base Lead to join our TechHUB in Lisbon!

The Database Team Lead is responsible for leading the enterprise data platform engineering capability, ensuring that all database platforms are secure, highly available, performant, and recoverable.

The role owns database architecture standards, high availability and disaster recovery strategies, performance governance, and operational excellence across all enterprise database technologies (cloud and on-prem).

The Database Team Lead works closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, Application Development, Security, and Service Operations to ensure that data platforms enable business services without becoming reliability or performance bottlenecks.

The role drives automation, standardization, and modernization across database environments while ensuring compliance with enterprise security and availability standards.

THE SKILLS

To set you up for success in this role, here are some key skills that will help you:

• 8+ years of experience in database engineering or DBA roles
• 3+ years of leadership or team coordination experience
• Experience managing enterprise-scale database environments
• Proven experience designing HA/DR strategies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in hybrid cloud environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions
