ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior SAP VIM Functional Analyst to join our TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur!

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who has moved beyond pure configuration and is ready to own design decisions, mentor junior analysts, and act as a trusted advisor to Finance, IT, and business leadership on invoice automation strategy.

You will lead the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of SAP Vendor Invoice Management (OpenText VIM) across complex, multi-country deployments — driving quality, scalability, and standardization across large-scale projects.

THE SKILLS

To set you up for success in this role, here are some key skills that will help you:

7+ years of progressive experience as an SAP VIM Functional Analyst/Consultant, with deep hands-on configuration, design, and production support across multiple full project lifecycles.

Expert-level functional knowledge of SAP VIM (OpenText), including invoice capture (ICC / Business Center / Core Capture), DP document and process types, workflow and approval design, BRF+ business rules and validations, Chart of Authority, agent determination, and exception handling — with end-to-end ownership of integration to SAP FI (invoice posting, parking/blocking, payment block logic) and MM (PO/GR matching, tolerances).

Proven ability to lead requirements discovery with senior business stakeholders, shape solution options, and produce high-quality functional designs, configuration blueprints, and test strategies — not just translate requirements handed down by others.

Track record of leading testing and cutover for VIM workstreams: defining test strategy, owning defect triage and resolution, signing off on UAT, and driving go-live and hypercare readiness on large or complex programs.

Demonstrated experience operating in a matrix environment with hybrid delivery models (onshore/offshore, in-and-out, partner-led) — including reviewing partner deliverables, setting quality standards, and holding outsourced teams accountable to outcomes.

Strong analytical and consultative skills, with the ability to influence senior Finance, AP, and IT stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and explain trade-offs clearly to both technical and executive audiences.

Proven delivery discipline — able to plan, prioritize, and orchestrate multiple parallel workstreams and releases without losing quality, and to bring structure to ambiguous problems.

Hands-on experience with e-invoicing frameworks (e.g., Peppol, country-specific mandates such as Malaysia's MyInvois / LHDN e-Invoice, India IRP, EU ViDA), IDoc-based invoice intake (INVOIC02), and enterprise document archiving (OpenText Archive Server / Content Server, ArchiveLink).

Fluent business English, written and spoken; comfortable leading workshops and producing client-facing documentation.
