ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a SAP VIM Functional Analyst to join our TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur!

This role focuses on end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows, with an emphasis on validating system functionality, identifying gaps, and ensuring high-quality delivery across large-scale projects.
You will be responsible for the development and configuration of SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions, working closely with IT, the AP department, and business stakeholders to define requirements and maintain an in-depth understanding of the VIM and ERP environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and supporting the SAP VIM module to improve invoice processing efficiency, troubleshooting system issues, monitoring workflow queues, resolving exceptions, and collaborating with finance and IT teams to ensure smooth integration with other SAP modules like MM and FI.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SAP VIM (OpenText) experience, strong AP process knowledge, and solid testing and documentation skills.

THE SKILLS

To set you up for success in this role, here are some key skills that will help you:

3–5 years of experience as an SAP VIM Functional Analyst/Consultant (or similar role) with hands-on configuration and support responsibilities.

Strong functional knowledge of SAP VIM processes, including invoice capture, workflow/approvals, business rules/validations, and integration to SAP FI (invoice posting and exception handling).

Experience translating business requirements into functional configuration, functional specifications, and test scenarios.

Proven experience supporting testing cycles (unit/SIT/UAT), defect management, and go-live readiness.

Ability to work effectively with outsourced delivery teams (in-and-out model) and internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences.

Good planning and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with e-invoicing / IDoc-based invoice intake and document archiving concepts is a plus.
