ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our TechHUB in Kuala Lumpur!

Enable reliable and secure delivery of the Azure + Databricks data platform by applying DevOps practices for data platforms: CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, environment management, observability, and governance enablement via Unity Catalog for product teams. Ensure secure integration with enterprise networking and security controls, and improve deployment quality, reduce manual work, and support operational excellence across run + change.

THE SKILLS

To set you up for success in this role, here are some key skills that will help you:

• 4+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering with strong Azure experience, ideally in data platform contexts.
  Hands-on CI/CD with Azure DevOps (or equivalent), Git workflows, and artifact/version management.
  Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep; experience managing environments consistently and reducing configuration drift.
• Experience with monitoring/logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) and alerting practices.
  Familiarity with Databricks deployment approaches (CLI/APIs/asset bundles), secrets management, and cluster/job orchestration.
• Experience building and operating Databricks Unity Catalog (metastore, catalogs/schemas, permissions, workspace bindings) to support governed self-service for product teams.
• Experience working with enterprise network/security patterns and controls (e.g., private networking, firewall/proxy constraints, identity/RBAC), and integrating platform components accordingly.
• Experience automating the build and release of SDK/artifact packages (e.g., libraries/templates/accelerators) that enable consistent creation of data products.
