Reward Operations Lead

 

The Rewards Operations Lead is a member of the Total Rewards team, responsible for operationalizing global reward strategies and ensuring the seamless execution of rewards processes. This role serves as the key interface between central designed programs and local implementation, translating designs into efficient and scalable processes. The Rewards Operations Lead will own and execute core rewards cycles, lead and support key projects within the HR function, and drive continuous improvements to streamline rewards operations globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Execution of Global Rewards Processes

  • Own and manage the implementation of annual rewards cycles, including:
    • Merit Review: Coordinating the global salary review process with markets and ensuring timely completion within the given budgets.
    • Incentive Calculations: Managing the calculation and validation of bonus and incentive payouts.
    • Pay Range Development: Overseeing the review and deployment of pay ranges and salary structures.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of rewards operations, aligning with global policies and regional compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with HRIS teams to maintain and enhance systems supporting rewards processes (e.g., merit and incentive management tools).

Ownership of Projects and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead rewards-related projects, such as enhancing global processes, tools, and frameworks to increase efficiency and alignment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in rewards processes, implementing solutions to simplify workflows and improve accuracy.
  • Ensure robust documentation of processes and policies to support consistency and scalability.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the operational link between the central rewards team and regional/market HR teams.
  • Partner with local teams to ensure smooth implementation of rewards policies and processes across geographies.
  • Train and support HR and business stakeholders on rewards operations, policies, and tools.
  • Work closely with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate execution of rewards activities.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Oversee data collection, validation, and reporting for all rewards activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to track key metrics such as process efficiency, budget utilization, and rewards outcomes.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the central rewards team to inform future strategy and design enhancements.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience:
    • Experience in rewards operations, HR operations, or compensation within a global organization.
    • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale annual cycles such as merit reviews and incentive programs.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of rewards and compensation principles, processes, and systems.
    • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and advanced Excel skills.
    • Expertise in handling data management, reporting, and analytics for rewards-related activities.
    • Experience with Mercer and Towers Watson compensation structures is a must.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Lateral Leadership is a must + experience with managing teams in a global matrix structure
    • Exceptional project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering quality outcomes.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse geographies.
    • Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation with a passion for driving improvements.
