EUDR Manager

 

The aim of this role is to lead and coordinate all activities related to EUDR (European Deforestation Regulation) on a European level for HAVI Supply Chain. Key responsibilities are to promote sustainable business practices and increase the long-term value of the company, while ensuring compliance with regulations in this area.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Leads and coordinates HAVI SC EUDR initiative overall and prepare HAVI Supply Chain markets to be compliant with all related requirements
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and consultants to define, implement, and maintain EUDR related Governance/Risk Management and Due Diligence processes
  • Prepares reports and presentations on EUDR status and progress for management and other stakeholders
  • Identifies EUDR risks and opportunities, and develops and implements actions to mitigate risks and create value
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in EUDR matters to reduce the burden on local market organizations and help them to ensure compliance
  • Plays an active role in developing HAVIs approach to maintain and develop our processes/tools and governance in the future
  • Develops, implements and monitors EUDR strategies and programs that are aligned with company objectives and industry best practices
  • Supports the market implementations and monitors any updates needed in line with changes in laws, regulations and corporate directives
  • Acts as contact person within HAVI to other BUs and Enterprise level for EUDR related matters
  • Responds to EUDR-related inquiries from customers and vendors, sharing subject matter expertise on relevant EUDR topics

 

Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in project management or a related field
  • Experience in the field of sustainability/compliance preferred
  • Experience in the Supply Chain/ Logistics sector preferred
  • University degree in environmental science, business administration, sustainability management or a related field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong understanding of EUDR and its impact on companies and their supply chains
  • Self-motivation, initiative and the ability to be proactive in a fast-paced, changing environment
