Taking part in many aspects of Human Resources, the hybrid Sr. People Partner role will own the recruitment process, promote the employment brand, enhance employee engagement and work on other HR projects and initiatives throughout the year for North America Supply Chain and Supply Chain Global Planning and Analytics.  As a trusted partner to the business, this role has the opportunity to build relationships with employees and create a lasting impact throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Recruitment:
    • Create current and future sourcing plans, including but not limited to communicating with passive candidates, engaging with local universities and associations and engaging with other industry and community experts
    • Act as main contact and brand ambassador to candidates. Assess candidates for skill fit and motivation.  Clearly article our company culture and role opportunities to candidates and follow up in a timely manner to ensure a positive experience.
    • Proactively engage with hiring managers to ensure a smooth end-to-end recruitment cycle.  Guide managers through the applicant tracking system.  Efficiently manage the interview process. Effectively deliver and close offers to candidates. 
  • Talent Management:
    • Administer the performance management process throughout the year.
    • Assist with the research, coordination and communication of employee training programs and maintenance of training records.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Execute employee engagement plans and initiate activities including data assessment and action planning, ensuring effective connection of the feedback loop
    • Unlock employee potential and keep people excited to come to work every day
  • Other:
    • Partnering with the People Team, work on projects such as system implementations, change management, market data, inclusion and much more.
    • Partner with Northern Illinois University to build a solid relationship that provide value to both the students and the HAVI organization

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as an HR Generalist and/or Recruiter. Experience hiring based on skills vs. experience a plus.
  • Ability to understand business acumen and clearly articulate the business unit strategies and roles
  • High level of customer service orientation.
  • Results orientated with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and address urgent assignments in both a structured and ambiguous environment
  • Well organized and persuasive written, verbal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence through excellent relationship building, expertise, and data
  • Experience with sourcing, engaging and activating passive candidates
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience working with HR tools (ideally SuccessFactors, UltiPro, LinkedIn Recruiter)

Minimum starting base salary for this Chicago-based hybrid role is $90,000.
