Sr Demand Planner

Sr. Demand Planner is responsible for managing all forecast inputs and planning parameters for restaurant and DC replenishment to meet established quality thresholds and to provide acceptable outputs to all stakeholders. Uses Machine Learning, Statistical and judgmental forecasting methods to produce forecasts that supports supply chain decision-making and works with cross-functional teams to maintain methodologies for supplier and DC replenishment. Ensures restaurant and DC level forecasts meet established goals for accuracy by monitoring consumer sales, marketing activity, and menu offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for accuracy and consistency of all planning inputs and outputs on a daily basis: Menu Item Forecast Accuracy and raw-item replenishment sufficiency.
- Produces and maintains a rolling forecast that serves as direct input into supply chain among internal and external customers.
- Manage system parameters to improve quality of outputs.
- Provides forecasts for demand planning purposes by adjusting projected demand to account for local tactics and supports the development of supply plans.
- Communicate forecast output and the methodologies to customers and cross functional partners (Supply planning, Sourcing).
- Conducting ad ’hoc analyses, trouble-shoot issues, respond to tickets in support of restaurant and DC planning services.
- Ensures the accuracy and consistency of forecast volume at the time/restaurant/distribution center planning level.
- Stays informed of actual performance versus forecast and re-forecast to reduce exceptions and/or align with trend.
- Supports account management responsibilities for the Distributor community. .
- Follow an agreed to exception management process.
- Respond to and resolves requests (tickets) incoming from internal and external customers.
- Performs analysis for spontaneous assignments such as post-promotion evaluations and halo/cannibalization assessments.
- Work with supply planners on root cause analysis.
- Responsible for achieving agreed upon critical metrics, measures, and SLAs.
- Responsible as back-up to all other team members.
- Performs other duties as the need arises.
Qualifications:
- University Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a relevant field.
- Experience in demand planning, supply chain, or similar roles.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks, balancing competing priorities, and adapting to ambiguity with confidence and flexibility.
- Proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments by effectively addressing and resolving critical issues with urgency and precision.
- Familiarity with a statistical and/or Machine Learning software packages a plus.
- Hands-on experience with demand planning tools such as Kinaxis, JDA, SAP or similar systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL and PowerBI is highly desirable.
- Sense of owning part of a complex supply chain management business.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to juggle different tasks.
- Ability to sufficiently teach and train others on system and business processes.
Minimum sarting salary between $95,000
