Do you have a passion for supply chain and a desire to lead a high performing team on behalf of one of the biggest brands in the world? The Sr. Manager, Supply Planning role is a key internal and client facing leader that guides and oversees the supply chain strategy for assured supply and minimized obsolescence in the execution of everyday and promotional packaging and food items. In this highly visible role, you will lead your team through replenishment plans, recommendations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will be the face to multiple customers in collaboration with internal operations leads.
Operations
- Accountable for creating and executing successful supply plans across multiple food and packaging categories to meet all customer expectations:
- Inventory strategy optimized across the supply chain network to assure supply and minimize costs: Supplier production, distribution plans and managed supply quantities, supply chain communications
- Ensure quality and timeliness of inputs, outputs, and deliverables to meet customer expectations; remove impediments re. quality inputs
- Accountable for the development of the supply plan, and all planning activities
- Identify potential constraints and/or exposure and create recommended contingency plans to mitigate and minimize risks
- Accountable for achieving compensation measures
- Ensure operational excellence with thought leadership, creative problem solving and proactive focus on continuous improvement
- Accountable for the use and continuous improvement of digital tools to support planning & execution
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers, internal cross-functional teams, offshore teams, and external partners.
- Responsible for setting and managing expectations with internal and external customers; able to successfully navigate high-pressure customer interactions
- Ability to effectively manage the customer, including pushing back or redirecting where appropriate.
Measures, Strategy, Continuous Improvement
- Responsible for driving improvements in Customer Satisfaction
- Represent working knowledge of HAVI planning and reporting systems
- Conduct HAVI orientations and assist with Customer & Supplier onboarding
- Responsible for post analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams, root cause analysis, continuous improvement action plans
Team Development & Leadership
- Cultivate leadership within the supply planning team, actively developing managers and direct reports and overseeing the development of other team members.
- Drive talent development to build high-performing teams, fostering a positive, collaborative, and empowering work environment through feedback and coaching.
- Oversee hiring practices to ensure optimal team composition, and resource allocation, coupled with focused training and development
- Drive accountability and decision-making to the appropriate level in the organization.
Education, Work Experience & Skills
- University Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Operations, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, with a focus on Supply Planning and S&OP processes.
- Prior leadership experience in managing both individual contributors and leaders of teams is preferred.
- Experience in a client-facing role, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Ability to present and influence decision-makers across functional areas including Marketing, Analytics, and Supply Chain.
- Strong understanding of the inter-relationships between forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, analytics, and their impact on suppliers and QSR client operations.
- Experience with Inventory/Demand/ERP Applications & Reporting Tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, Kinaxis), with a capacity to drive system improvements and user adoption.
- Ability to understand and navigate the food service or fast-moving consumer goods industry landscape.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), with a focus on data analysis and presentation.
Starting Salary $135,000-$145,000 with a 15% targeted bonus.
