This manager role is responsible for leading Demand Planning operations in the US Market which provide essential value-added services to our customer including, their restaurants, Distribution Centers, and Suppliers in the US market. This role centers around developing accurate demand plans for over-the-counter sales of both core items and promotional offerings. It is also instrumental in the monthly S&OP alignment process with our customer, ensuring seamless integration of our consumer demand forecast.
The Manager, Demand Planning requires a balance of strategic oversight and team leadership, with responsibilities for maintaining accuracy and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Within your team, you will guide team development, focusing on performance management, employee engagement and customer satisfaction. The role is pivotal in cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders and setting the benchmark for operational excellence.
Responsibilties:
Demand Planning Excellence & Leadership:
- Drive operational excellence in demand planning, ensuring the creation of accurate and timely demand plans for both core and promotional menu items.
- Contribute thought leadership and strategic direction to the S&OP process, ensuring the integration and alignment of the consumer demand forecast during monthly meetings with the customer.
- Provide leadership and direction throughout the CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) process with the customer and its supply chain system partners.
- Manage end-to-end packaging demand and supply planning, including the oversight of planning parameters.
Measures, Strategy, & Continuous Improvement:
- Achieve and maintain no less than 95% of Promotional & Supply Chain Initiative (SCI) compensation measures and joint accountability metrics.
- Accountable for driving continuous improvements in customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit proficiency in HAVI planning and reporting systems (Horizon, ROP, EAS, Connect, etc.) to inform strategy and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analyses and promote continuous improvement initiatives in our demand planning processes.
- Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise to guide the demand planning process, integrating insights on future consumer trends.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Cultivate leadership within the demand planning team, encouraging the development of junior and senior level SMEs.
- Drive talent development to build high-performing teams, fostering a positive, collaborative, and empowering work environment.
- Oversee hiring practices to ensure optimal team composition, and resource allocation, coupled with focused training and development.
Qualifications:
- University Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Operations, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 4+ years of Supply Chain experience, with a focus on demand planning and S&OP processes.
- Prior leadership experience in managing individual contributors is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a client-facing role, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Ability to present and influence decision-makers across functional areas including Marketing, Analytics, and Supply Chain.
- Strong understanding of the inter-relationships between forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, analytics, and their impact on suppliers and QSR client operations.
- Experience with Inventory/Demand/ERP Applications & Reporting Tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, Kinaxis), with a capacity to drive system improvements and user adoption.
- Ability to understand and navigate the food service or fast-moving consumer goods industry landscape.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), with a focus on data analysis and presentation.

****Starting Salary is $115,000-$130,000 with a 10% targeted bonus
