Your Next Role: 

 

The People & Communication Manager Italy plays a critical role in enabling the performance, engagement, and development of employees across Italy.

The position balances strategic partnership with hands-on execution, supporting organizational effectiveness, talent development, workforce planning, and internal communication. This role carries the meaningful objective of empowering our teams—fostering an environment where trust, confidence, and accountability are nurtured, enabling everyone to grow and take ownership of their goals.

The role collaborates closely with the South Europe People Team and the People Organization’s Centres of Practice (CoPs) to ensure alignment and seamless delivery of People & Communication priorities. A key focus will be to drive efficiency in HR processes through technology and active network collaboration within the cluster. The People & Communication Manager is also a key partner for the local market Leadership Team, supporting business strategy and providing counsel and guidance to the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Strategic People Partnership

  • Partner with the Italy Managing Director and local business leaders to deliver people strategies aligned with global direction and local business needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on organizational structure, workforce planning, succession, and culture.
  • Support local leadership in coaching, developing, and enabling teams in day-to-day operations and long-term priorities.
  • Collaborate with Talent, People Operations, and CoPs to ensure consistent delivery of People processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Contribute to country-level people-related budgeting, offering insights, recommendations, and analysis.

 

2. Talent Development & Leadership Enablement

  • Drive leadership and talent development initiatives across Italy.
  • Ensure key roles have succession plans and active development pathways.
  • Partner with Talent team to identify capability gaps and propose solutions internally or through external partners.
  • Promote a culture of learning, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to local People/HR contacts where present, fostering collaboration and high performance.

 

3. Workforce Planning & People Analytics

  • Lead mid- and long-term workforce planning for the market based on business forecasts and market insights.
  • Translate internal data into actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to resourcing plans, internal mobility, and succession planning.
  • Use analytics to measure the effectiveness of People programs and inform continuous improvement.

 

4. Organizational Development & Change Management

  • Support organizational adjustments ensuring compliant, fair, and people-centered processes in collaboration with Legal and Industrial Relations partners.
  • Drive communication and engagement for change initiatives, ensuring clarity, transparency, and employee involvement.
  • Actively participate in projects aimed at evolving the operating model and improving organizational effectiveness.

 

5. Culture, Communication & Engagement

  • Reinforce the company’s Values through leadership behaviors, employee programs, and communication initiatives.
  • Lead internal communication efforts across Italy to ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with People Operations and leaders on employee experience improvements across the lifecycle, from onboarding to exit.
  • Support follow-up to engagement survey results with insights and action plans jointly owned by leaders.

 

What You'll Need to excel in this role 

  • Solid HR generalist experience.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and local employment regulations for Italy.
  • Strong commercial understanding, connecting people strategies to business outcomes.
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Experience in organizational development and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build inclusive, high-performing cultures.
  • Hands-on mindset combined with strategic perspective.
  • Proven ability to optimize processes through technology and collaborative networks.
