Our team informs, engages, and inspires internal and external stakeholders by delivering high-impact communications that support business growth, transformation, and reputation.
Our scope includes Employee and Leadership Communications, Market and Brand Communications, Channel and Content Management, Employer Branding, Event Management, and Crisis Communications. The majority of our global team is based in Western Europe, with a strong hub in the Netherlands.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Senior Communications Manager to join our Global Communications & Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications & Marketing, this role plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing HAVI’s global communications strategy, with a strong focus on internal, leadership, change, and channel communications.
You will lead and own high-impact global programs, partner closely with senior leaders, collaborate across functions and geographies, and guide the evolution of our communications channels and content ecosystem. This role requires a strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution excellence and people leadership.
Key Outcomes of the Role
- Strengthen global leadership and employee communications to support strategy, transformation, and culture
- Successfully deliver the global communications channel transformation, including the transition from intranet to the HAVI App
- Elevate executive storytelling and strategic narratives across global audiences
- Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative global communications team
- Establish clear measurement, insights, and continuous improvement practices
Key Responsibilities
Global Internal & Leadership Communications
- Develop and deliver strategic leadership and employee communications, including executive announcements and messaging related to transformation, change, and business priorities
- Design and execute global communication campaigns that drive engagement, alignment, and cultural cohesion
- Partner with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to align messaging on strategy, organizational development, and key initiatives within an integrated content plan
- Lead communications for global People & Leadership initiatives in close collaboration with the People Leadership Team
Executive & Strategic Storytelling
- Own global executive communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact across audiences
- Drive strategic storytelling that builds understanding and alignment around company goals, innovations, and industry achievements
Content, Channel & Digital Communications Strategy
- Lead execution of the Global Communications Channel Strategy (2026–2028), including:
- Launching and scaling Mobile Communications for global employee communities
- Defining content governance, campaign delivery, and community management
- Build and continuously evolve a global channel strategy to prioritize and mature the most effective internal and external communications channels for multiple audiences
- Develop and lead a Global Content Strategy for integrated communications, leveraging multichannel best practices
- Ongoing creation of high-impact content and key messages (e.g., strategic stories, themes, presentations, case studies) across internal and external platforms to position HAVI
Change & Crisis Communications
- Design and execute change communication programs to support organizational development and transformation
- Lead crisis communications preparedness and response, advising leadership and strengthening internal capabilities, processes, and playbooks
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global communications team (direct and matrixed reports), fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Set clear team objectives aligned with business priorities; provide coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices to support professional growth and team effectiveness
Measurement, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track KPIs for communications programs; analyze performance and present actionable insights
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Actively educate and inspire both the communications team and broader stakeholder groups
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, including significant experience in global, complex, matrix organizations (supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related industries preferred)
- Proven experience leading strategic internal, leadership, and change communications at a global level
- Exceptional English writing, editing, and storytelling skills (near-native proficiency)
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a track record of building and retaining high-performing teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills; confident partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional global teams
- Highly structured, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
